Hyundai Planning To Bring 6 EV's For The Indian Market By 2028

Hyundai is planning to launch 6 more electric vehicles in India by 2028 which will include almost every segment. From mass market cars to premium cars which will be hatchbacks, sedans and suv's as well.
Currently, there is only one electric vehicle offered by Hyundai in India the 'Kona Electric'.
Many of the upcoming EV's will be using Hyundai's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It is an architecture that include the battery, motor and power electric system.

Using this platform, most of these car will be sharing most of their components. Inside the car, it will comprise a flat floor, sliding second row seats, spacious cabin, etc. The models can be equipped with a battery (with 8 mounting points) of up to 77.4 kWh capacity and will come with both 2- and 4-wheel drive and a top speed of up to 260 km/h.
Hyundai says its EV roadmap will “breathe life into the electrification ecosystem in India” with major focus placed on localisation of EVs which will reduce the pricing and will make a place in most of the Indian's shortlist.
