Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio Launched. Gets all New Design Language


Maruti Suzuki has launched the next gen of the Celerio. The previous generation didn't sold well as compared to Maruti standards. This generation gets the all new design language from Maruti Suzuki so lets see it.



From the front, it gets a slim grill with s single slat finished in chrome connecting the headlamps and Suzuki logo in between. The headlamps are all halogen unit below it, fog lamps are placed.




From the side, It gets alloy wheels finished in black but they are only available for top variant (ZXI+). All other variants get plastic covering. It get the old school door handles but earlier it used to get the grab handles. Also it get passive entry for both the front doors.



Coming to the rear, it get halogen taillamps and a passive entry button for the boot with a handle to open the boot and a viper with washer. The boot space is 313 litres which is good enough for a car of this size and a 14 inch spare wheel.




In the interior, at front it gets a complete blach dashboard with silver finishing around AC vents and in between, the usual infotainment system which is used in almost all the Maruti Suzuki cars which has android auto and Apple carplay connectivity. It also get voice command function and below it has manually controlled AC. The steering wheel is from WagonR with controls on it and orange themed instrument cluster with anologue speedometer and a digital tachometer. Beside it, has a push start stop button.



At the rear, the leg room is good and cabin is wide enough and rear window controls are in the center. The seats get 60:40 split ratio and has fixed headrest. The center console gets 2 cup holders continued by a 12V charging socket and a USB and AUX ports and the gear knob is very sporty looking shows that the manufacturer has focused mostly on style.



Talking about the variants, basically it has 4 variants on offer LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI+ in which, the base variant gets only manual and all other has option of both manual as well as AMT.




Now talking about the engine, it gets 1.0L petrol engine which produces 65 Hp and torque output of 90 Nm. In gearbox, it gets an option of both manual as well as AMT. AMT is not available for base variant. The main highlight of this car is it's mileage. Company claims that it returns a mileage of 26.68* km/l which makes it the India's most fuel efficient car without any hybrid tech.



Now talking about the pricing, it starts from 4.99 Lakh for the base variant to 6.94 Lakh rupees for the top variant.
