Volkswagen Polo Legend Edition Launched As The Last Batch For India


Volkswagen is soon going to discontinue the Polo for Indian market so the brand has decided to launch a special edition named 'Legend Edition' as a goodbye to the premium hatchback. Volkswagen has decided to not to bring the next generation of Polo to India.



The special edition is based on the top variant GT and comes with some add-ons. These include graphics on the doors, black roof, a rear spoiler finished in black, black coloured ORVM's and a legend badge on the boot beside the GT badge and on fender.



It comes with the same engine as in the GT trim i.e. a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 117Hp and 175Nm of torque driving front wheels through a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.


The pricing of this edition is same

as the GT variant i.e. Rs.10.25 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will be limited to 700 units and will be available. Volkswagen sold more then 3,00,000 Polo in 12 years across India and also it was the first car to be manufactured in the Chakan plant in Pune.
